The Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has recently revealed that it is producing an all-electric battery driven vehicle with its Prius hybrids, an eco-friendly driving story.
Toyota will unveil a new all-electric SUV in the next couple of months, according to sources. This is Toyota’s first all-electric car, outside Chinese. It appears there is no verified timeline. Last year, Toyota removed its C-HR shell, its small battery electric SUV with a base sharing with Corolla.
Toyota claims that this new truck will become part of the “first step” towards more battery-powered electric cars. Toyota says it will use the highly adaptable e-TNGA platform that can be modified with a variety of vehicles.
We can bet however, that the new vehicle is an SUV with a good battery capacity and comes in a number of models, perhaps with a four-wheel drive version.
In reality, the press pictures share the message. It will most likely fall into the same category as the Ariya electric SUV, a 300 miles range announced recently.
It seems Toyota has been eventually forced to follow the EV parade by banning the selling of new petrol vehicles.
